There's at least one bloke in Ollie's game preview video that i don't recognise...short dark hair and beard?

Ideal match for our young prolific strikers to get their eye in, probably played and scored against better defences

The EFL Trophy 20/21 rules state:

Quoted Text
7.3  Each EFL Club shall play its Full Available Strength in and during all Matches. Full Available Strength means the EFL Club must include at least four Qualifying Players in the ten outfield Players named in the starting eleven on the Team Sheet.

7.4  Qualifying Player means any Player who:

7.4.1  had started the immediately preceding First Team Fixture (as defined below);

7.4.2  subsequently starts the immediately following First Team Fixture;

7.4.3  is in the list of ten Players at the Club with the highest number of starting appearances in First Team Fixtures in the same Season;

7.4.4  has made forty or more starting appearances in First Team Fixtures or international equivalents (and not limited to the same Club or Season); or

7.4.5  is on standard loan from a Premier League Club or any EFL Club operating a Category One Academy.

So by my thinking we have to start with 4 from the following, assuming they are fit:

Started last match:

Max Wright
Luke Waterfall
Matty Pollock
Danny Preston
Elliott Hewitt
Danny Rose
George Williams
James Tilley
Sean Scannell
Matt Green

On loan from Prem team:

Terry Taylor

Has made 40+ Professional first team appearances:

Ben Davis
Luke Hendrie
Ludvig Öhman
Bilel Mohsni
Harry Clifton
James Hanson

Or anybody Ollie can guarantee will start the next game.

Fantastic rules! Meh.

What's the status of brizzle city's academy?

4,  Ludwig, clifton, taylor and Edwards

I think hewitt will start given he is supposedly super fit.....

Wasn't there a game in this ace tournament where one of the teams started with a keeper as a qualifying player and then subbed him off after a minute, so they now exclude keepers?

So this competition that is apparently geared towards helping the yoof, will punish a club for playing Battersby instead of Russell? Sounds about right.

Looks like we're going to be on the naughty step based on what Holloway has said about his planned selections.

Not a chance we'll be the only club flouting the 'rules' tonight.  Be interesting seeing the EFL trying to enforce punishment across the board.

If the 4 qualifying players have to be in the starting eleven, I don't suppose we could get away with subbing, 3 or 4 or as many we can sub after 2 minutes?!
