Oh c'mon, we had the luckiest streak going getting to that semi, true Swiss cheese model and as soon as we come up against a decent opposition we floundered, Southgate is not the man to take us forward.

I actually want to watch this England side, and it's the first time in more than 10 years that I've felt that way. That is completely down to Southgate trying to play a style of football with young, hungry players and leaving out the old hat that no manager has had the balls to do before him

undoubtedly a side of high quality at Southgate's disposal, but we've had that before and flattered to deceive.  Another manager wouldnt pick any one else for this squad, so I dont see that at the end of the day, that its the players who should be blamed.

If he has the courage to pick Greenwood going forward, we will win major trophies.

England playing out from the back is like Victor Sylvester without the Quick Quick. 78% possession and only 4 shots on target including a penalty that he nearly fluffed.

OK, pick the lads, brave decision? Yes but the bearded wonder has got to find a way of playing to make use of what they have - pace to spare. He's had enough goes at it now against lesser sides that shut up shop, it needs more creativity on the park maybe but definitely a lot more nous on the bench.

This, just.watched the highlights and itv struggled to find anything for the 2nd half.
Why play all 3 of dier, rice and ward prowse away to a weakened Iceland team?   Grealish?

No left back is unforgivable.  Playing trippier there ahead of the young lads at arsenal or man utd makes no sense.  Or even sessegnon, there must be someone.  Bring back Baines for one last game ha.

Regularly there were no players in the box,  Iceland seemed to sit back at wait for mistakes.     The only thing I saw ward prowse do was dig up the penalty spot.

And then ian Wright called Iceland Finland in his expert analysis!!  Hmmmm.

Was I the only person cringing at the penalty spot incident? We complained when Columbia did it in the World Cup.

Pretty embarrassing when a country of 50 million people and the richest football league in the world resort to cheating against a team whose country has the same population as Nottingham.

I’ve seen a report of one England fan going to the game, or watching it from the fence around the ground. He had to quarantine for 5 days before the game. I am guessing he is a Baggie.

At least Southgate is trying to play possession football, for the last 40 plus years we’ve played long ball and hoped to pick up the second ball. Understand some people thinking Southgate probably isn’t the man for the next level but Pep is still employed.

The England kitman is a West Brom fan I think. He’s obviously in the bubble so can put it up.
