How can any Grimsby fan who was there, ever forget Chris's finest hour (and a half) in a Mariners shirt on that rainy evening at Goodison Park in November 1984.

Here's hoping that he will be able to live out the rest of his life in relative comfort.

I reckon he was Dave Booth's best signing...a fabulous defender even though he was past his best. The moment I remember was in (I think!) the League Cup away at Coventry. He was fouled by Terry Gibson...his reaction was to turn Gibson around to take his number for future reference. I lived near Coventry at the time and even their fans found it funny!
