From BBC WEBSITE Newcastle United fans say they will raise issues about Saudi Arabia's human rights record even if they support the prospective takeover of the club.  Yes hes a despot that orders killings of people that disagree with him,, yes its a totaltarian state, but hes got lots of money so we just say yes and stay conflicted (PS Geordies dont complain or protest like you do with Ashley or you may find yourselves invited to the Saudi Embassy for a quick chat.)

Football fans are incredibly fickle!

But, they shouldn't even have to think about it as the new owners should fail the FA's 'right and proper' test to own the club. They will pass the test with flying colours, of course.

Miss Scunthorpe. Not a beauty pageant, just sound advice.

Forget the virus and where it’s from, but if a wealthy Chinese wanted to buy a premiership club would there be any issues, basically a totalitarian regime with a leader who’s  organising it so that he can be in control for another 15 years, a country that persecutes Muslims in the Western part of their country, but no matters they produce lots of cheap stuff that we keep buying.

Southampton and Wolves are owned by a Chinese bloke/group (but not the regime, although I doubt there'd be any issues even then (as BCT hinted at)!)

Cannot see the department for trade having an6 problems with the Saudi’s buying Newcastle, after all we’re quite happy to buy their oil and sell them millions in arms etc, so I woul£ guess the government have no worries.
