Sheffield United beaten 4-0 at BP to clinch our last ever football league championship when we won the Old Division Three title.

Far, far too long to wait for our next. Here's hoping we don't have to wait much longer, when things finally get back to normal.

Alex Sabella playing for the Blades. A real class act who was in strange surroundings playing for a third tier English club. Came to England at the same time as Ardilles and Viilla at Spurs but never reached their heights.

United signed Sabella after trying to sing Diego Maradonna, but baulked at the asking price. Typical daft Yorkies?

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.

There was a story about that recently: https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/football/news/sheffield-united-rejected-diego-maradona-17821314

If he'd linked up with Jimmy Muir they would've won the European Cup

Is that 4 local lads (Moores, Ford and Drinkell) in a title winning team? Incredible to think of really.

Only five at the time so don’t remember it, although do remember most of the players from later.
