From all this I can see footballers contracts having additional clauses written in them by the club they play for, or who they are signing for, to cover financial situations such as they are in at the moment.

Of course this Coronavirus is probably/hopefully a once in a lifetime situation, but clubs, certainly in lower leagues could really do with covering their backs, and their bank balances, should anything like this ever rear its ugly head again.

The chances are that any additional clauses added to a contract are never actually needed, but who knows?
