I haven't seen it posted elsewhere, the trust have opened a crowdfunder to get Bobby Cumming over from the US for the 1980 Champions Book night on April 9th.

What a player that guy was. An era when the harder u tackled the better you was unlike now. Seriously folks im only 44 yet growing up he was the type of guy who made you so proud you were on the same team as each other he would go in 2 footed (feet of the ground!) on his own gran if it meant his team ie us lot won a match. Im in on this please fishy folks get this guy back to blundell park its because of the likes of him we are 'all town arn' t we'..... A true legend

Bobby would love to come over to meet fans and former teammates but he isn’t flush. Would be fantastic if fans could rally round and help a former hero, someone who gave so much to our club over a sustained period.
He is a legend to many so if you can afford a few quid to help I am certain it would be very much appreciated

I'm sure it has been thought of by the Trust, but has anyone approached local businesses to effectively sponsor this?

Could be a real coup (and relatively cheap in terms of PR) for a decent sized business to effectively say they've brought over the the cult hero for an awful lot of Town fans of a certain age.

And what is utter tripe about it? As it happens I do have a few people who are in the 'at risk' populace, so no, I wouldnt want anything to happen to them, but when official numbers show a tiny proportion of the population have got it, keeping safe is a priority.

In the time that the virus has been on the go, more people have committed suicide and more people have died in car accidents, but on the whole outlook, at this time those numbers seem less important than people taking heed of the precautions being laid down by the Government.
