Standing water all over the pitch- doesnt look good

Surely if they’ve scheduled another inspection at 1 then it can’t be that bad otherwise they’d have called it there and then in order to give Northampton and more importantly their fans as much notice as possible. Hopefully it means they’re mindful that the worst of the rain has passed and that it can improve with a few hours.

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

The ref is giving it a chance to get a game on. A bit excrement for Northampton and long distance travellers but we all want to see a game.

I have noticed that. It was always like a bowling green. I wonder what has changed?

If you look at the prem  pitches they look just as good at the end of the season as they did at the start.

L2 clubs do not have the money to maintain the pitch to the same level.

BUT

As we are now trying to play the passing game I expect some extra cash will be invested on the pitch next season.
