Out of that selection Robbie Stockdale please
With Disley as assistant perhaps? I never understand this fascination with former players coming back.

None of the above TBH....
Limbrick - 50% of the problem Stockdale - Specifically why? Nolan - If he was any good he'd already be working Tisdale - Doubt he'd come Holloway - Apart from his time at Blackpool why? Kewell - See point about Nolan AN Other - most likely someone who's cheap
All I would add is that I hope we don't fanny around as there is a lot to do on the pitch and we have a lot of games to catch up on.

We'll get what we're given....
True, but Michael Jolley was very much the favourite choice on here before he got the job and a popular appointment. This time there's no name standing out. I've voted for Holloway as he could bring a bit of fun back to Blundell Park.

A more progressive list would probably omit Tisdale (location), Holloway (level/age), Kewell (location) and might include.. Heckingbottom (ex-Hibs) Ian Evatt (Barrow) Ian Culverhouse (Kings Lynn) Steve Watson (York) Pete Wild (Halifax)

Yeah Holloway would be great. Not achieved anything in years but after defeats he'd go on about 'getting birds in taxis' or Brexit or something. Hilarious.

Not for any of those reasons but his time has been and gone. Forget ex-players as well. I might be inclined to try Ian Culverhouse, he has experience of playing and coaching at all levels and has done well at Kings Lynn.

One of the non-league managers. Heckingbottom is on a downward trajectory. He was a disaster at Hibs.

Quoted from 140381

Indeed he is, he has only done relatively well for one short time and that was at Barnsley. At Leeds and Hibs he was pretty hopeless. He's another of the "good coach but not a manager" crowd.

I never understand this fascination with former players coming back.
My selection of Stockdale has nowt to do with him being a past player (if I had my choice for past players to manage Town I'd have Matt Tees as manager and Charlie Wright as his assistant) it is purely because he has at least some experience in coaching / managing without having been around the block a dozen times like all the old out of work hacks that will no doubt be lining up. We can't risk another disaster with a totally unknown 'I talk a good job and I've got a top coaching licence' like Jolley or an old dosser like Slade. Stockdale fits the bill for me
