He's consistently scored loads of goals for 4 seasons, so I don't think he's overrated at all. But those boots aren't really him, are they?!

Looks like it's only on Sky Sports which is a national disgrace. All England games should be on normal TV for people like me that don't have Sky Sports.

To be honest, after the first season he burst on the scene and scored loads of goals I agreed and said he was overrated and it would never last. But once you do it year after year after year, I can confidently say he is not overrated. Again it’s all about opinions. As someone else said, he is no Ronaldo or Messi, but then again who is. We have been lucky enough to witness probably the greatest 2 players in the history or the game and of course Kane is not in that bracket. But the bottom line is, when you have the knack of being in the right place at the right time as much as he is, and then able to get the ball over the line, it is no longer coincidence, it is quality.

You cant directly compare Kane with Ronaldo and Messi since he is at the beginning of his career whilst they are at the back end of theirs.
What is the comparison between their first four seasons and Kanes? That would be a fairer comparison.

Better comparison would be Owen, although I think Kane has more to his game, but Owen had the knack of being in the right place, his first touch was a bit iffy but in the box he cold find the net.

I suppose it might be deemed a 'national disgrace' if anybody actually gave a flying f**k about this competition and were particularly bothered about watching.

Sky Sports. Pfft! I still feel guilty about watching Town games live in a pub in the 90s.

Don't think you can compare Kane with Messi and Ronaldo because they're different types of player. You could probably make a fairer comparison between Kane and the Ronaldo of today (at his age) who has adapted and just plays as a no.9 now, just like Kane. But not the Ronaldo in his prime.
I'd love to see Kane progress now by making an impact and scoring goals in Champions League latter rounds, and for England against the stronger nations.

Clearly he's not over-rated. I'd put him in the Lineker category. Always there when you need him. Imagine what his scoring record for England would be if we had a modern day Beardsley.

Wearing Golden Boots is a vile showing of show boating. disgusting reflection of the arrogant 'haves' in this world.
I really don't understand how the populous can be sucked in by this vile arrogance.

Nike send him boots to wear and pay him a fortune for the privelege. If I was getting that sort of money for wearing them for two hours of my life I’d wear amber and black or claret and blue boots and not be too arsed about it.

To call Harry Kane Vile just about sums up the victim mentality that rings out of certain sections of society that believe we should all be paid the same .he is one of the true Engish shining lights in an era where young footballers are under so much pressure to deliver every single game . England need a talismanand Harry has all the self confidence and mild arrogance to carrry that role off . The English media love to sway opinions on people who are doing well and Kane has had his fair share of their VILE treatment .

When I were a lad, if somebody had worn gold boots, we'd have pointed, laughed and then taken him out at knee high in the first tackle. In some ways, the seventies were a kinder, more simple place.

I know it's wrong but I'm still angry with Harry Kane, I know he gave his all and top strikers rarely do the unselfish thing in front of goal, BUT if he'd just squared THAT chance to Sterling, it would have been 2-0 in the semi final and I don't think we'd have blown that lead. So frustrating, but he was always after that golden boot.

Have you seen Sterling's strike rate for England? What makes you think he'd have managed to score from a yard out?!?
