Non-footy this really but it'll get a lot more response if it's on this forum.

I've been quite surprised recently about the number of posters mentioned being "mature" posters shall we say, so here's the question.

How old are you?

61, mental age still about 25, body age feels about 82.

This is more of a factual survey, isn't it? A poll is for gauging opinion or preference.

I would like a mod to set up a new stadium poll. I think the last one was over three years ago:

https://forum.thefishy.co.uk/Blah.pl?m-1533924965/s-10/

I am interested to know if Grimsby West is more popular than Freemo.

Good idea. Other topics for poll/survey could be your preference in cheese or maybe your favourite spoon! Only kidding before someone gets their knickers twisted!!!

Funny innit, I’d have had you down as older than that -  no idea why. Likewise, quite surprising that young Garth is in his 80s.

If this thread has taught me anything it’s that it’s not as easy to guess a person’s age by their football messageboard persona.

Me - 36. Look and feel a damn sight older than that. Tough paper round.

Pah! Kids today, don't know they're born.
When we had a paper round we were up before we went to sleep, and we had to do a double shift down the mine then on the blast furnace and that was after two weeks on a trawler gutting fish.
All they gave us was a gravel sandwich with dripping but we were glad of it.
Bloody kids today, don't know they're born.

Dripping was underrated , especially the thick brown bits at the bottom. Lovely

66.  Feel must younger.  Still an ultra distance athlete. (Walker).  After following Town for years (more bad times than success), I have the emotional disposition of an 80 year old.

Luxury!

I lived on Sandringham Road.

I'm 72 and I first went with Dad in about 1957, to watch his workmate at Laportes play, Jimmy Fell.
We were right at the front in the Barratt stand and Jim waved to Dad, it made his day.  :)

44. First game I can remember (although apparently I first went in 1984) was when we went down under Don Oriodan as player manager. Last game of the season we needed to win. I think we were trying to get into a relegation play off place!?!?!? Can somebody confirm that these did initially exist!?!?!?

Yes, we are generally old and probably grumpy.  It is the 3 posters declared as “under 25” , out of 222 posters, that worry me. Or maybe the young are too busy out drinking to post.
