With Colchester’s game off, we would move above them with a win and be 6 points clear of FGR.
Got a nice ring to it….

Do you know, psychologically that would massive for us, its not about the points difference, its looking at that position makes your mind work completely differently, its stacks the pressure up on Colchester

Was just thinking this myself. A win today and Colchester are firmly back in it and with their extra games mounting up would be very much up against it too. Got to do our bit today to make it count.

Yes, and Colchester still have to play Stockport.

Now a point on Tuesday would be an excellent result for us and pile even more pressure on FGR and their dwindling number of games to catch us.

In many ways today was probably more of a must win game for them than it was for us.

Great set of results today. Our remaining home games look tough. Wins at Sutton and Colchester should take us close to the safety zone.

Surely Bradford Newport and Swindon at home are matches where points should be taken all three of these have already got there towels out for  the summer

Big week ahead. I fancy Walsall to beat FGR on Saturday, and if we can beat Sutton that 9 point gap (or more if we get something on Tuesday) would be a truly difficult mountain for FGR to climb. So this time next week we might all be able to sleep a little easier.

It’s all if’s and buts, but there is certainly a good opportunity for us this week.

Wimbledon on Tuesday night, first. A bit of a free hit really; anything better than a defeat takes us further away from the relegation zone. I’d take a point now.

Me too. and given our recent away form I think it's far from impossible. No reason why we couldn't even scrape a surprise win if we get a little luck running our way.

I don’t see us moving out of the bottom 4 really, on balance. Unless a couple of teams just capitulate in the run in because they’re basically done with season. Not unheard of I suppose.

Finishing 4th bottom  this season will do just fine given recent events.

But a huge rebuild is required over the summer. There are no excuses for us being down in the nether regions of this division. We should be doing much better.
