Don't suppose anyone knows was rather embarrassing but.. When I went to the loo just before half time all I saw was Town fans punching 10 bells out of each a lady steward apparently got hit then it all spewed into the carpark outside where everyone was having a cig.
Then after Donny scored the pen another fight broke out just infront of the goal and some chap was walking away with blood running down his face.

Just put the icing on the cake to be fair.

I think the trouble after Donny scored was Hurst out vs Hurst in, from the snippet I heard, could be wrong tho.

I don’t go to away games anymore for this reason. There are too many cretins that go to away matches for the purposes of getting drunk up and causing trouble.

There is a small segment of the Town support (and most teams). That are pure girl privates.

Was sad to see a group of about 40 - 50 walking down the alley to the game kicking garden gates in, turning peoples wheelie bins over and lobbing the rubbish in people's gardens.

Childish behaviour, could be some poor little old Doris' bin.

I was stood not too far away from the lads with the drum yesterday in the first half there was a bit of verbal between a chap on the back row and a teenage lass, think the lads with her tried to calm it, not sure what that was about but it briefly caught our attention.

Noticed a few people moving past us to that area and then back again during the first half,  something didn’t feel quite right it was like there was a couple of people looking for trouble, maybe wrong.

This is what happens when you let people of lower intelligence travel more than 10 miles from their home.

I've always wondered how people's brains are wired to make them lose their mind in such situations.   No doubt they look back with pride at their entirely rational and self-justified behaviour.

Luckily for me being in the south west it seems all of those cretens only support Grimsby in big local games so I never see them

Don't let them put you off. Easy enough to move away from them and also easy to see who the divs are....they usually wear a nice little uniform.

Just give them all a wide berth and enjoy the soul destroying football with the rest of us.

I've seen a video somewhere of the concourse pre Donny. I'll be honest. They've all got the typical gear on they usually wear and I have never seen any of them at swindon, fgr Newport, Northampton etc...
Genuine question, do they go to home games? If so where do they all sit/stand? Or are they your typical I'm staying in the pub or home on the xbox unless it's a local derby?

As an exile Yes i go to away games but i am very fussy to where/ whom i stand  near to support  the "Town"  making a "risk assessment " to avoid  the away "Windowlicker" element  of Mariners support.

As another exile, I think that the worst behaviour is at  games nearer to GY, although that may be down to increased numbers. I arrived just ahead of the mounted police escort of fans and overheard two Donny lads say ‘ Here come Grimsby, they are a bit weird’.
Secondly, if stewards allow two hundred or so to meander around the front and never to take a seat, then it was always going to get toxic.

Had a few near us in the row behind us that were all a bit unnecessary, and suffering from the affects of drinking on empty heads. That were also impressed with themselves for singing a song about their coke taking habits.

They were loud and obnoxious for the wrong reasons, amongst good people and family’s, and was ruining any enjoyment there was.

I had some strong words with them, and told them that if they persisted, then I’d personally have them out of the joint. They soon quietened down rather sheepishly apart from some grumbles about me. Then one of them peaked far too soon and fell asleep.

Pleased to report thst they went elsewhere at half time.

As someone who sits between all four areas at BP these days due to not having a season ticket, I’ve no idea where these sorts end up at home games. I’m aware we have them but I think this seems to be a problem on away days more certainly on my experience.

I'm pretty sure they don't go to home games, you never see them or their 'gear' unless it's a Derby game.

All fanbases have these kind of people. I went to the Exeter game on Saturday and there was 100+ stone island wearing youngsters with many other young fans wearing 'normal clothes'. Difference was these guys were in good spirit and sang for 90 minutes non stop (even at 1-0 down).

Not sure where you are going with this really  Are you talking about people that wear cp company, stone island etc or are you saying something else? Just because some people wear certain clothes and instigate or get caught up in trouble, you can’t tarnish everyone with the same brush.

I wear those brands of clothes, my son does as do my mates, but we’re not kicking off everywhere. Personally, after spending a few hundred on clothes, the last thing I’d be wanting to do is get them ruined.

I’ve seen blokes in £1000 suits in the city kicking off with each other. I don’t necessarily think it’s the clothing that makes people act a certain way.

I think you’ve the wrong word with victimised Luke. I wear clothes because I like them not because of the cost or notoriety of the brand. I’ve been wearing some of the brands ‘associated’ with hooliganism since I was 12/13. I don’t see it as a uniform associated with trouble like many do. Yes, there are those that wear the labels that are involved in trouble and that there is a perceived stigma attached to the brands that whoever wears them is out looking for trouble.

But, you then get brands such as fjallraven, berghaus, north face etc that have no history within sport as such, becoming popular on the terraces. In the past brands like Lois, Sergio tacchini, Benetton, aquascutum etc etc became popular through the casual subculture in football which went hand in hand with music of the time. In fact, I remember one of the first away matches I ever went to at Leeds road (Huddersfield) there must’ve been 100 or so brown suede jackets there because it was the terrace fashion.

We all want to identify differently, and I understand totally why people give certain people a wide berth when they see them but, not everyone wearing the same brands are the same stereotype

I wear Stone Island because its good quality (probs why Pep wears it ) but you have to accept that it has certain connotations . I would not wear it to an away game and go into a home pub for example .

My lad wears Stone Island for the quality and fashion.
But at away matches or away nights out he removes the logo.
I wear Pringle socks as a tribute to the 80’s 😉

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked
