Victory for the Three Lions would see them secure qualification for next summer’s European Championship in Germany, come on England.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Are Hurst and Southgate twins?
Shocking first half. Dull as dishwater. Play it side to side at the back. Move it forward a bit, lose it, opponents attack with pace and purpose. Dreadful defending as forward completely unmarked to tap in. Zero atmosphere. Wonder why? It's hard work being an England and Town fan these days! If this is modern football you can ram it.

Someone made the observation in the pub the other night that in the modern game once you’ve seen one match you’ve seen them all. Bit OTT but the monotonous build up, sideways and backward passing doesn’t actually get the blood racing.

Joe Cole said it was a fantastic half .

He must have been watching a different game.

England need to pass the ball a lot quicker and stop passing it sideways and backwards .

I agree with Badger.

I don't watch any prem footy but isn't there anyone better in CD than Maguire who doesn't get a game for man u and scored an own goal for England last time out. Likewise in DCM with Phillips and Man City (apart from the own goal obvs)

As soon as we do it quicker we score !!!!!

Mind you a few minutes ago we had the ball in their own box the ball went out near the corner and ended up  with our keeper without a Italian touching the ball.

Missed the first half, at work.
Second half some great football and a proper center forwards goal for the third.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Think Bellingham, Rashford, Foden, Kane might be a bit better than out side?

Not to take anything away from what has been an almost faultless qualifying campaign, but this is the bangest of bang average Italian sides. 3 points behind Ukraine, with a game in hand, but still yet to face Ukraine away (albeit in Poland), they could be set to miss a second consecutive major tournament.

Really adds to the frustration we couldn’t beat the fúckers in the 2020/21 final. We’ll never get a better chance than we had then.
