Well, if ever there was a perfect time to play us, it’s definitely this weekend.

As some of you have already alluded to, we’re struggling with a number of injuries to key players.

Andy Cook, Tyler Smith, Ash Taylor, Alex Pattison, Alex Gilliead, Vadaine Oliver, Harry Chapman and Kev McDonald all injured.

Clarke Oduor on international duty with Kenya is a big miss, too.

This leaves us with no strikers, other than Matt Derbyshire and new loan-signing Rayhaan Tulloch - the latter being an unknown quantity at best.  

If I was to predict the starting XI it might look something like this:

Lewis

Platt - Stubbs - Kelly

Halliday - Smallwood - Osadebe - Walker - Richards

Afoka - Tulloch - Wilson

The front three all signed within the past 10 days, so none of them will have a clue how each other play. Afoka and Wilson are yet to make their league debuts, let alone make an appearance.  

The midfield is solid enough, as is the defence. In fact, the defence has been solid all season barring Morecambe away.

I can’t predict this one. We could get a real hiding or these newbies could play an absolute blinder. I’m edging more towards the former.
