Just seen them on sky sports . There was literally not one Gillingham attack shown on them, shows how dominant town were.

They did nothing going forward. Toothless.

Their fans must have been really downhearted on the (long) journey back.

That header by Maher was top class, we won’t see many better goals at Blundell park this season than that one, superb goal.

Has to be galling to make a 450 round trip for your team’s “highlight” to be a cross, easily caught by the opposition goalkeeper.

Read somewhere that the corner wasn’t meant to go to the near post as it did. That’s nonsense you can see Maher making his run there. A very good goal as was the other for different reasons.

Batch, Crombie, Moore K, Wiggington, Cumming, Waters, Bonnyman, Ford, Emson, Drinkell, Whymark. Love you all, You are the reason I'm on here. You've had help from Todd, Handyside, Futcher P, Groves, Mendonca, Macca etc etc etc. Up The Mariners!!!!!!!!!

Yes, brilliant goal, shame to see it merely mentioned a a 'glancing header ' in the BBC report. That angle/power and accuracy takes some doing.

Agree that was a training ground exercise to perfection - it is obvious Maher made his run as the corner was taken & left his marker for dead.
Brilliant move/goal.

Fair play to him though, very professional work that.

Just watched it without sound and the closed captions on... worth a watch for a little light hearted relief with how badly the AI deals with his accent. "German Jewish" and "chills" pop up quite often!

Good fun listening to the gills man. Thought they had more half chances they might have taken on another day……still I’ll take the 3 points
