I see both Grimsby Borough and Cleethorpes Town have won through the first 2 FA Cup Qualifying rounds this season. Both are now into the 1st qualifying round. I think there's still another 4 rounds before the 1st round proper though. Cleethorpes are at home to Hinckley and Gy Borough away to Leek Town in the next round being played on 2nd September.

Would be very interesting if we ever drew either of them in a competitive fixture.

Grimsby Borough v Scunny would be a good laugh.

It's regionalised so might not be that unlikely a draw?

Would be better at Glumford Park.  I suspect Borough would sell out 😉

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Yeah, the NLN and NLS sides enter at the 2nd qualifying round, so one more win from either of them would give them a chance of drawing Scunny.

What about the teams our youth players are in...they'll both have potential chances of playing against Scunthorpe if their teams progress.

The 2nd Qualifying Round where Scunthorpe enter is scheduled for 16th September when we are away Wrexham.

Cleethorpes or Borough away at Scunthorpe would be interesting for sure.

Don’t forget they may have been evicted by then - eviction notice listed for Court next week, although I suspect they’ll be given a stay of execution. Buy the ground within x months paying x grand per month in the interim, or you are out.
