I'd imagine this game replaced the Al-Ain game, only just realised that was set to have taken place last night.

Not quite as young as you Les, she's 80.

Continental heat very different indeed,  just up the coast in Benidorm has been reported as very "sticky" in places.
Yes. Thing is as well due to the weather in Spain particularly in the central and south playing on grass pitches is rare Ive found. Councils as noted put municipal hard pitches up where locals gather and play football often late . On the few occasions where I did see a grass football pitch on the Costa Del Sol(where I often go on holiday) it was used in a paid sports membership club. I havent seen it used much only on some evenings and when children are on holiday on paid football camps.  Likewise even in some parks in Madrid the public are advised to keep off the grass to protect the turf. Speaking to someone recently who is Spanish I was told that in parts of Southern Spain water is now being cut off at night due to water shortages and showers at the beach have been turned off in recent years  to preserve water as reservoirs  are really low.

The Chinese have always claimed ping pong is good for longevity.

I guess laying on a stage, legs akimbo, blasting them out of your Steveevans must have a similar effect.

It's her Grandaughter doing the rounds now, Well that's what a friend told me 😉.
Going back to football, I was playing football, albeit at a much slower pace ( walking footie) three weeks ago approx 20km inland from Alicante, at a lovely town called Hondon, my Daughters partner is the manager of Hondon Valley Fliers, he said that if anyone is holidaying in the area they would be more than welcome to join in a session, they play Monday and Thursday mornings 9.30 to 11am. they haven't had a session for the last couple of weeks due to the heat but they still meet up for a few San Miguel's. ☺️. It was 34° when I was out there.🥵.

I’ll be honest - I find it hard to listen to Doig and feel positive emotions.
