If he is good enough a 3 year deal might tempt a decent one to up sticks and be No. 1 with us. Or even a 2 year deal with an option for a third depending on appearances . Bit of a poor spell with his kicking on a poor Blundell Park pitch, but no worries with commanding his box or shotstopping. could be a big loss. He wouldn't have let a promotion chasing League Two side down next season. Saving grace is that Hurst seems to have an eye for a keeper..

I don’t know how many clubs change their first choice ‘keeper during the summer but seeing as we, technically, haven’t done that since 2011 suggests it might not be that many. I feel like this might be a good moment to be replacing Crocombe, personally. A smooth sea never made a skillful mariner.

Understood what you said, however, why was only 1-year contract offered by PH. Strange one that seeing as 29 is "young" for a goalkeeper. Perhaps PH didn't-think MC could cut it in League 1 if offered more than 1 year.

Good luck in the future Max, was always looking for him to time waste when necessary

Will be interesting to see what level he ends up at, as that will tell us how good he is seen as by others.
