I hope all goes well for Jeff Stelling, I watched a bit of a documentary showing his long support and love of the club.

I listen to all our commentaries when I can't view a game; and watch Sky Sports News at a low level on the TV, with my ear bud in one ear.

And I think he is a brilliant guy.

A lot of lower league clubs are struggling financially, and it's a lottery whether they get responsible owners or not


It's about time that some kind of system was put in place to keep these clubs grounded and financially stable, considering the amount of money that is floating around the game.

I wonder if this dodgy bloke has the £3.5m? If not, surely Swann has every right to get the bulldozers in for housing/retail or something?

Even if he DOES get the money, do they really want him as owner/chairman? What a nightmare.

I think his wife will probably be giving him £20 a week cash allowance after his attempts at running a club/running up a mountain of debt .

He won't be in football again , a shame because even though a bit daft he was a cracking listen when interviewed .

He didn’t like the Fenty comparison - I’m not surprised, he was actually far worse than honest John ever was. And that is f#cking saying something.

That was one of my favourites 'don't you dare compare me to Fenty I am a completely different character , with all due respect we are a football league club Grimsby are not '

Yeah it was mid way through the season we went up and the interviewer said our crowds had gone up and it triggered him and he said that , i used to listen to his interviews on their Iron Bru podcast because he was so volatile and would just go off - it was pure entertainment . On one before that he went bonkers about the council 'shafting' him over their stadium on the lake ; and then making non -empty threats that ' if the fans go off on a tangeant and don't turn up the club goes ' .

It might actually come to fruition now .
