when they said it was "norovirus" did they confirm this with documentation or were they just taking a wild guess in order to fob you off? if they gave you documentation, then which affiliate or dept gave the final result and took swabs etc & was anyone contacted that had any of the symptoms

A good question Woz, I’m not entirely sure of the answer.

Kristine (who was absolutely fantastic, I must add) dealt with the the issue, the further it progressed as we felt it was more appropriate to come from the Mariners Trust, rather than Brad off TheFishy!

Edit: I’ve just read the posts prior, It’s a shame the Mariners Trust wasn’t aware of your history in food during the time. You’d have been a fantastic source of knowledge.

Sleep well Icey, Matty and Richard. Keep each other company up there xx

I once tried to swap the fried egg for scrambled eggs on a Spoons breakie and was told that they didn't have any scrambled eggs, they only had fried eggs. Make of that what you will...

Reminds of a lass I know working there who said people will speak to her saying 'can you tell chef I like my dish blah blah' and she's thinking what are you on about - there's no chef, there's stuff to go in a microwave, or there's a grill that's it

In a similar vein, whilst at a french restaurant a few years ago we asked if the moules mariniere was gluten free, waitress said 'wait a moment, I will consult with the chef if it can be made gluten free for you '....and out trots a lad with a thick somerset accent who puts a packet on the table and says 'read that and you tell me if it's alright'      He also told us not to order the cider because it's cidre, french muck, and cans of scrumpy are available round the corner.
