Just gone past the half way stage of the season & been a lot of up and downs.

Just curious to know peoples opinions if we had to vote someone so far this season to be ‘Player of the Season’ who would you choose?

Luke Waterfall for me.

Apart from a couple of iffy games over Christmas, he's been immense and flawless.

Like this question, for me I think Clifton has been a consistent and impressive performer and probably gets my vote with Waterfall and Maher not far behind having both been good whenever they've been in the team. I think it would be unfair not to give at least a little mention to Holohan who perhaps not as consistent as Clifton has had some very impressive spells throughout the season too.

I'd have said Crocombe was a maybe a few months back, sadly he had that spell for 6 weeks or so where he made no saves, so he's out of that conversation for me. If he has another brilliant end to the season, he'll be in there for sure.

Absolutely madness people were slagging Waterfall off saying he’s our worse centre half. The blocks an absolute rock.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

Has to be Clifton. He's really, really come on in the last couple of seasons. Always had that incredible engine and athleticism but he's added goal threat to his game. He's also got a perfect attitude. We maybe didn't realise it early in his career but we're incredibly fortunate to have him as one of our own.

Colossus, we missed him so much when he was out with his back.

The turnaround from him has been nothing short of incredible.

Can't disagree with any of the suggestions but I think Holohan has quietly been one of our best performers week in week out.  I wasn't actually ever enamoured with him last season but he's massively stepped it up this season for me.

In that order.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

I know he has had a few dodgy games but I think Smith should at least be part of this conversation.
Him and McAtee on their day are a class above most players in this league.

Overall I would say Harry though. Incredible energy and consistency. As mentioned his output has massively improved in the last 12 months.
I think there will be some decent offers coming in the summer.

If you absolutely had to pick one, it’s got to be Harry, hasn’t it? That’s not to dismiss the contributions of Crocombe and Waterfall, both of whom have been generally brilliant, but Harry Clifton has just been the epitome of professionalism and consistency.

He sets the tempo, he leads in terms of work ethic, and he’s really started to add goals to his game. 8 goals so far in a team that has, at times, struggled in front of goal.

Easy to forget he’s still only 24. He will go on to play at a higher level, no doubt whatsoever. And I’d love nothing more than that to be with us. He reminded me of Paul Groves last night; I think that’s the biggest complement I can give him.

Not at all. Just think back a couple of weekends and how much we missed Luke Waterfall when he was injured.

Clifton, he’s just seems to keep getting better and better. First name on the team sheet I’m sure. He’s been absolutely immense so far this season. Could be an absolute Town great if he continues in this vain.

not that he's up there with Clifton or Waterfall, but honourable mention for Otis Khan who's looked a really good signing whenever he's played

I am with you on this one. Clifton just keeps getting better and better & Crocombe has been outstanding all season. As much as a legend Macca was, Max is definitely a massive upgrade.
