Just wondering why there are 23 teams in our league this year is it due to macclesfield?

Yes, they were thrown out last season and with no promotion/relegation from the National League and the North and South divisions it couldn't be rectified. I'm sure it'll get sorted for next season though.

Suspect there'll be an extra team from the National North if Bury end up getting re-instated a league or two below us. Somewhere there'll be a league with 1 team too many, can't see anyone relegating an extra team.

National League:

Football Association confirm promotion and relegation for 2021-22

Three teams will be relegated from the National League this season and four teams promoted into it to bring it back up to 24 teams.
