Leeds went 59 matches without a penalty (up to 201.

We have had 5 penalties in the last 4 home games.

Opponents cannot cope with our attacking pressure and direct runs into the box.  They panic.   Long may this continue.  Maybe the vociferous home fans and large crowds also unsettle defenders?

Cannot remember when we were last top.  We were top of the Championship when England beat Germany 5-1 away.  (A bit tenuous but there was the same score line this week for an English team playing away.  When Liverpool won 5-1 away at Porto).

We must have been top at some point when Hurst was here last time?

I don't think we were top at any point during our previous stint in non-league.

We briefly went top around 2012 after beating Wrexham at home.

I'd have thought it must have an impact on refs too, not many will have reffed games with such large vociferous crowds baying for a pen. We certainly weren't as large or noisy crowd wise last time we was down  here.

Some of the decisions yesterday were baffling. Throw ins clearly given the wrong way and the fourth official must have been drunk because I don't think he got the numbers right for any of the substitutions!

This is something we were discussing yesterday. For the vast majority of games down here, even if we were doing well, the atmosphere was flat and only ever an opposition goal away from turning negative.

It’s very, very different this time around and it undoubtedly makes it harder for the opposition. Before, they knew that frustrating us or scoring early would turn the crowd against the team, but that’s no longer the case. I can’t imagine BP is a place teams will relish coming right now.

Some tasty home games up next; Yeovil, Notts County, Boreham Wood and Chesterfield are the next four.

Unfortunately, you'll soon get used to being baffled by National League officiating. Comes with the territory...

We were top for a good couple months in 2013. You only ever saw it going downhill from there though…

Though it’s not good enough the officiating seems better than I remember it from when we where down here before and no different to some of the muppets we had in L2.
