Yes Ive heard similar from Xavi Fernandez  as well the majestic ex Barcelona midfielder. He said none of the champions leagues winners medals paled into comparison with winning the world cup with Spain. That was on another level and an experience he will never have again.

Looks like Denmark will be in the semi-finals as the Czechs haven't really looked like scoring and the Danes look more likely.

Brilliant cross for the second. Practically all the forward needed to do was let it hit him it was that good.

I didn't realise where it's being played, Baku (Azerbaijan) was in Europe, must be the most easterly point.

Even allowing for the pandemic, fans would have struggled to get there in numbers.

Tickets too expensive for some locals, the rest of the oil rich Azeris probably apathetic.

Pitch cutting up like a coke addict and sweaty conditions.

Having watched the moment leading up to the corner for the 1st Danish goal it was easy to see that the ball hit the Danish player on the way out.

So why didn't VAR come in and say so?

That said the 2nd goal was brilliant.
