We may have new owners, but if you think Paul Hurst is going to get Town promoted you must be delusional. He doesn't ever go out to win a game, he goes out not to lose, hence we never have more than 2 shots on target, if it wasn't for Omar Bogle & his goals, we would  still be in non league.

If my Aunty had b**locks etc. etc.

Who signed Bogle?

Like it or not, (clearly not!) he is here next season.

He certainly cannot have 5 seasons if he’s not top 4 by new year he has to go.

Does the season only run to January now?

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Christ why not wait until the season actually starts before spouting off. Bolton promoted today and where were they at the end of January? Seasons can change for the better or worse but let’s at least see what side we have before saying what must or must not happen to the Manager.

If Fenty’s reign taught us anything it’s that changing your Manager guarantees you nothing.

To get promoted we need to make and convert chances. Cambridge had about 35% possession and fewer shots than us but scored 3 goals. We cannot afford to be a side that has the ball for 2/3 of the game and ends up with a nil score line. It has happened too often.

I’m not jumping on a 20.goal a season striker excluding penalties bandwagon, though that would be helpful, but goals obviously need to come from somewhere. Players who can score them must be a priority next season or we will be looking back next year at this time on a load of drawn games again and a crawl to a possible low playoff place..

Agree

A 20+ goal a season striker isn't a mandatory requirement but obviously it helps.

But regardless if we have a 20+ goal a season striker we do still need a couple of people chipping in with 10-15 goals each and then after that we need others who can 6-10 goals a season like Disley and Arnold and no doubt Nolan if we had him for longer.

Hurst is one lucky barsteward! He drops onto the list of last chance saloon managers, looking for that one last chance of some success before joining the likes of Russel Slade and Alan Knill, and then gets another break by his sentimental old club desperate to avoid relegation.

He then not only totally fails his main objective (but hey we’re playing better football) to avoid relegation but he also manages to have the club confirmed as the worst in the football league by finishing rock bottom.

It’s then confirmed by our new owners he will remain in charge and be given one of the best budgets in the league, and yet some still think he should still be in charge if we’re not in the top 6 by Xmas!!
And hears me waiting for him to apologise to the fans but remembering how arrogant he was I won’t hold my breath.
