That number of deaths has never been confirmed and never will be I don't think? Qatar/FIFA deny it. There was a really good documentary of G-Nev going over there to try and make sense of it all. What was apparent in that documentary is that they have been holding passports of migrant workers, paying them pittance and making them live in tiny shared rooms so off that basis alone I think it's safe to say they're not to be trusted.
Also boycott Brew Dog because they're a bunch of cunts.

They do that in the UAE too. Or at least in Dubai. Standard practice for blue collar workers, not just construction. Maintenance, cleaners, security officers etc. Big western companies there connive it it. That place really is the unacceptable face of capitalism. |
