Finally seeing the back of Fenty, optimism returning about the future.

A win today and suddenly what seemed impossible only last week could finally be possible, potentially 4 points behind safety with a game in hand.

Come on Town, you can do it, TODAY IS THE DAY.

Be interesting to see the ifollow buys after the announcement!

I am still living in hope that we will survive 46/47 points should do it.

So we need to turn the draws into wins well at least four of them.

Come on Town we can do it.!!!!!

I just want us to go into the last couple of games still fighting to stay up. Would be a shame, given the good news today, if things tailed off.

Yep - Colchester got thumped last night so if we can win those 2 games in hand we will be just 1 point behind them.
If Phil Browns arrival at Southend has a negative effect there - all is not lost, but we really need to win today & get a run going.
The takeover now seems to be almost over the line.
The sun is cracking the flags here on the Wirral - & I'm feeling good.

In light of events in the past 24 hours today's game has taken on even more significance that normal.

I am crapping myself.

I feel like Tantalus.

Zeus punished him by chaining him to a rock with an unquenchable hunger and thirst. There was running water below his feet which he couldn't reach.

Above him was a succulent bunch of grapes, but every time he reached for them, an invisible  hand moved them just out of reach.

That is what this season has been like for the last few months. Every time it looks like we have an opportunity to change our fortunes, the chance is wasted.

A win today would have changed everything. But an act of self inflicted stupidity made that virtually impossible.

We were already losing when it happened if it makes you feel better. How many times have we won when a goal down over the last few years?!

A draw at least was very possible with 11 players on the pitch.
