Hi All

Noticed this thread on non football
With bookmakers being closed, tempted to run a Fishy Sweep for the National
obviously 40 horses. lets say £10.00 a go- if majority think thats too high we can lower to a Fiver

£275.00 to the first Placed Horse
£50.00 to Second Place
£35.00 for Third Place
£20.00 for Fourth
£20.00 to the first faller ( keeps someone who falls at the first happy)!

Whats everyones thoughts? i'd be happy to run and sort if the demand is there- obviously will withhold from having a go myself

I ran our work sweepstake two years ago and ended up with Tiger Roll and cant be doing with accusations again

I'll be up for it.

Might be a bit short notice though to get enough before Saturday.

I'm in Hagrid mate, I don't do online betting.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Yep I'm in please, but as Les says I think you'll be up against it to get 40 entries, all paid up and then have time to do the draw by the time the race starts. I hope you can pull it off, good luck!

Maybe if we only get 20 people interested you could say 2 horses for a tenner and halve the prize money stated.

I think you need to put some sort of deadline for entries though to give enough time for people to get the money in,  to do the draw and get it posted on here.

Yeah okay if we get to 20. We’ll do 2 horses each.

We’ll say a deadline of 5pm tomorrow for entries

I will then post my paypal details on here. If all entrants can get funds to me by 12pm Saturday and i will do the draw straight after
