I mean being kind isn’t exactly a difficult mantra to follow, it’s entirely normal to be kind to people.

Someone is kind to me, if they ask me to do something I’m likely to do it and do it well/effectively. Someone’s a girl private to me then it’s unlikely I’ll do it...simples really.

Imagine having an issue with seeing the words ‘be kind’. Even worse still thinking the world has gone soft because of it and then feeling the need to start a thread about it.

Surely a wind up?

Maybe the original poster would prefer 'be a c*nt' as a motto to live by?!

You mean grown up people need telling to do this? Sounds like something we used to get told every morning in primary school assembly.

Is it another version of “Have a nice day”?

All the wars and atrocities in history would tell you “YES!!”

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

I think it started, or at least came to prominence, after Caroline Flack was effectively driven to suicide through being hounded by the press and abused via social media for years on end.

So I think people just want to try and avoid that. If that’s ok with the tough guys in this thread?

Extremely sad as I think this could have been preventable.

I think thats the thing now with social media/advancement of technology. Back in the day children that were being bullied at school had some respite when they went home. Now they turn on their laptops and go on social media and get bullied there. Its what led some youngsters to  tragically  take their own lives.

All I hope is these bullies (sick) get their comeuppance one day .

They won’t Rick.. The only way out of bullying in my schooldays was confrontation. By the 80s this was no longer an option because schools were tasked with stopping something they could never control but were then hammered for not controlling it.

Try and investigate something like this.

Please sir she hit me.”
‘No I never”

.No bruises so what is it, assault or bullying?

Try this.

Please stir she hit me.”
“Did you hit her?”
“Yes, she called me a cow.”
“No I never, prove it!”

Or this.

Why did you hit him?”
“He hit me first.”
“When was that?””
“Last night on the rec “

Or this -

Mr Rafferty will you sort out our Joe. He keeps bullying his brother and he takes fukc all notice of me.”

All true. Be kind? I wish I had a tenner for every time that phrase has seen the light of day for kids. Now we all get treated like kids. Is this the best we can do, a soppy appeal to better nature?
