Really nice, heart-warming story. I think most, if not all, of us can associate with that. Even if we haven't been the person collecting cash for the club, we all know someone who did, or does. And we've all done it ourselves, if only online.

Wonderful, heart-warming article which speaks for all of us true fans.

Puts to shame those people who jump on the premier league bandwagon to 'support' a wealthy, successful club which happens to be 200 miles from where they live!

An inspiration for any fan to follow. Truly a passionate supporter for his club, words of praise fail me.

In a similar vein Sir Tom passed away and needs your support. On the non football site the X brigade have outvoted the ticks. The Queen sent her condolences, Parliament had a minutes silence and the nation will clap at 6.00pm.

So why the bloody hell do the X cowards not like him. Not about me but Sir Tom a national hero. Show your support.
