Fantastic second half from both teams.
Was bang behind the goal when it was slammed in, ecstasy.
Great defending by them at the death to stop us winning the game.

Vernum is the best player ive seen in a Town shirt in at least a decade, he is fookin ace.

I've had a few slights doubts about Glennon defensively but I thought he was superb today. Need to get Vernam pinned down to a new contract asap!

I feel a bit robbed though as their goal was off side and we could have won it right at the end, on the balance of play, I thought they passed better than us and pressed us into making mistakes, the 2nd half is what we want to see more of and we need to get players out wide to hurt teams.

A couple of comments from their fans forum

Hats off to the Grimsby fans, brilliant support and I havent seen a goal celebrated like their goal since the night we beat Leeds

I thought Grimsby played some good stuff in the middle of the park, Holloway has them playing some nice stuff and clearly well drilled into what each player's role is. their LB on loan from Burnley is some player at this level too.. would be interested to see if that's his regular output.

I thought their number 10 and 18 were excellent in build up play.
