I played for Grimsby boys myself Pete (right midfield or right wing) played away at Leeds around 1983/1984 we got beat 4.0, I played a full season, I  also played for Yarborough United which was a decent enough team back then mate.

I also played for the boys scored 10 goals in 5 games then went on to play for the juniors Harrry Wainman was the keeper. Work got in the way of training so just played local league after I started work.

I had the pleasure of playing with 2 top keepers lucky me eh ?

Born at the wrong time mate if I was at my best when Hull was in the Prem they might have paid Town £100,000 for me before finding I had gone off before I was 20.

That reminds me

Lovely man. Met him when I was a spotty faced schoolboy, who had a part time job as a petrol pump attendant to earn pocket money. He was selling cars from the site. Always pleasant and engaging.
