Bolton Wanderers make a statement of intent by signing high scoring striker Eoin Doyle on a three-year deal after his contract ended with newly promoted Swindon Town.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Bradford City have signed former Scunthorpe United defender Levi Sutton.

The 23-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, has agreed a two-year contract at Valley Parade.

Was class at Swindon, but terrible at Bradford.
He's 32 now, so if they don't use him like Swindon did, they've wasted a lot of money

Ex-Scunny boss Stuart McCall said he was surprised that Sutton was released.   He shouldn't be that surprised; i believe Scunny are still paying off him, and Hurst, and Alexander and any other recently sacked managers i've forgotten!!!

No change there then Bolton splash the cash they don't have them just carry on the same after it catches up with them.

Business as usual for Salford.

Salford sign highly experienced defender Tom Clarke after he left Preston last month.

Clarke enjoyed seven years with Preston after signing from Huddersfield Town, and in that time won promotion to the Championship via the play-offs in 2014-15; something he also achieved with The Terriers in 2011-12.
