Well it's quite possible that some players may see this as a chance to impress I H and prove they want to be part of his future plans

Don't know about a bounce but Forza mentioned a semi....

But a change of manager is very good for focusing minds, especially players brought in by the previous regime. It's often mentioned on this site about how apathy has crept into the fans but in the same way complacency can creep into the players, especially those who think they are doing the club a favour by just being here.

to be honest i wasnt too enthusiastic about the prospect of him being appointed.....putting aside all the cliches and standard new manager speak i can tell you one thing that has actually made me think this could be the shot in the arm we all need..

within an hour of being announced as manager he did a 5 min satellite interview broadcast with Sky from the pitchside at Blundell Park....when have we ever had that ??!!??
Open questions allowing him to enthusiastically ramble on...great media exposure showing on a loop in every sports bar across the world no doubt for the rest of the evening.

Not now.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Really looking forward to going tomorrow now for a change, I'm not expecting miracles overnight but this is a big lift.

Cockers won a fair few games and from memory most thought he would be the next manager however, there was discussion a while back as some thought he was offered the job but turned it down, whilst others thought he wasn't even considered and overlooked.

Did they get rid of him after that ?

From memory I think Cockers was that disillusioned with the board he left not long after.

As long as we have a team which is performing and delivering results, more often than not, don't see why can't average 5,500.

Now is the time to be pushing the half season ticket offers - since it’s the Jan sales and all that - get them sold - bums on seats - fill the place till the end of the season - it’s all extra income and they may even return in season 2020/2021!
