1) Haven't Won a game since September and  now 4 places above the drop
2) Sacked Jolley
3) We've still not appointed a Manager
4) Get beaten at home by PH with a very poor Scunthorpe Team.
5) Fenty kicks off with a gobby fan.

Surely the next step is to have a fans forum get Matt Dean down and watch it all kick off?

Can't believe how far our Club has gone backwards since we got promoted and all the feel good factor has been ripped out of the club. All the togetherness we had during our non league days seems like a distant memory.

I really can't blame any investor coming in because our club is in a total mess.

The one thing I find most concerning is that a lot of die hards I know are not even getting angry and p1ssed off at the games anymore. Instead they are just not turning up as they can’t be bothered. This was backed up by us having less than 2500 there on a Tuesday night against Cheltenham. People are simply sick of the same repeated system of failure. Just out of curiosity what attendances are the budgets calculated on?

Nah. Martin Atkinson would surely be the board’s choice

If any decision goes against them he’d get it referred to VAR and have it overturned

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Feels inevitable under the current, if not this season then within the next coupe.

If you put our current squad (and supposed budget in the National League we’d be mid table.

We lose, we don't score and we moan...and repeat, repeat, repeat...
As fans we deserve better but until the major share holder let's go of the purse strings and hands the baton on, what we can expect is more of the same crud for the foreseeable future...
I for one will NOT be renewing my season ticket for 2020/21 unless there are seismic changes within the structure of the club...

It only seems like yesterday when we escaped Non League and everyone was saying "never again".  From a distance it seems that inertia has set in again to such an extent that it is very hard to get momentum once you are in that rut.

I'm hoping that in this league ( if we survive this year) you do see teams that finish at one end of the table one season flip ends the following season - its not the premier league so that it the only thing that keeps me doing

It is the hope that kills you.

Sitting here in my ivory mansion miles away, I really do have total respect for those that go week in week out. As someone mentioned, many diehard town fans are not even bothering at the moment, and with all honesty, who can blame them! The club are losing money hand over fist with people not being there, not just through tickets, but with merchandise sales especially at this time of year.

We're in the fortunate position, at the moment of only one team (at the moment) being relegated, and should Macclesfield be deducted more points, I think we can only count ourselves as being very fuck1ng lucky.

Those in charge need to wise up, and see what is going on. It's blatantly obvious at the moment that the club is in free fall and without guidance from the top or even a manager we are going to end up with a serious relegation fight on our hands once again.

Woz makes a good point - those of us watching through our fingers from other areas of the UK have a lot of respect for people who endure this week on week.  12th October was our last league goal.

If I still lived in Grimsby I'm not sure I'd have the stomach to go every other week right now.
The bizarre thing is that the away support is still bloody incredible.  I'll be going to the Orient game in Jan and as usual I imagine there will be a lot of Town fans there.

Not sure I want respect, I think my missus thinks I need locking up for inflicting GTFC on my boys every weekend, Seriously, it is the hope that kills you and I really believed that Fenty and his cronies might have learned from the last freefall into non-league. Phrases like 'Championship in 5 years' will come back and haunt Mr Day, 'Shut up' and 'Do you know who I am' similar for Mr Marley but they really are the puppets of a regime that wreaks of short-sighted, penny-pinching decisions.

We could get better or worse.

We can be above the next 2 teams that we play at home.  IF we win our games in hand.  We also (surprisingly) have a better GD than both Crawley and Salford.

We have to start scoring soon.

On the other hand we could continue in the wilderness, rudderless, alienating more fans.

My biggest concern is next season.  Without money for a clear-out and new players, we could struggle again, This season is very similar to when Luton had 17 points deducted and saved us. We did not heed the warning.

I think those in charge will genuinely be praying for Macclesfield to go belly up to save us this season. I might be completely wrong but I suspect JF enjoyed our time in the conference, being a big fish in a small pond, Wembley appearances etc. etc. and probably saw it as a success.
I do hope he maintains his stance of only selling the club to the right people, because the thought of Mr. Dodds and his cohorts taking over really sends a chill down my spine

You are correct imho...he did enjoy the time down there and thought the Wembley trips signified success yet it was his abject failure that put us in a place we should never have gone down to in the first place....
Remember those rallying calls of "be there or be blue Square"...well once again " it's another drama that will lead to Vanarama" thanks to one mans incompetence in running a football club and treatng it like his pet toy...

I really don’t know why we talk about this anymore. Nothing has changed at this football club since 2005. The same people doing the same stuff in the same way.

I’ve said it before but the funny thing is they expect a different result.

Every senior member of staff at this football club that includes the board, have to be held to account.

I agree with most of that, but I am not sure the "togetherness" in non league is what I remember. Six years of a living hell, being ashamed of this great club being given the run around by clubs I had never heard of, and playing Guiseley on a park pitch on a Tuesday night away, and pleased we got a draw is what I remember.

I remember saying at the time that the spell in  non league would wake Fenty up, that he will know he has to invest, or rather get more inward investment into the club to ensure we did not struggle again. As with everything else though, the board did nothing material to improve our chances of being competitive even in division 4. Just when it was going quite well, in the first season back, we managed to lose the manager that had just got us up to a smaller club with horrendous on-field problems.

And here we are again a few years later; same position, same problems, same stadium, same apathy just with different players occupying the shirts.

Agreed. People remember the last 2 games of Conference football and think it was all sunshine and roses. Think back to the last non league game at BP - it was fucking shite!

I have to admit that when I walked out of BP soooo despondent after that 1-0 loss to Braintree, I wondered if we'd ever get back in the league ( and half expected Hurst to be on his way for "failing" yet again )

Those next two games changed all that of course but why the board are now resting on their laurels defies any logic....

Still the powers that be know best don't they....we're just keyboard warriors aren't we?

Nothing coming out of the club is one thing, but nothing coming out of the truck is worse in my opinion.

The institution that makes up a third of the GTFC board and is there to represent the fans it’s members saying nothing when they are idly sitting by and not asking questions is beyond belief.

Alleviating the concerns of concerned fans should be paramount. They’ve already had the season-ticket holders money but what about those floating fans whose money that keeps a steady cash flow?
