I believe that was hosted by a company called Rivals and they wanted to up the money it got so GimRob took us independent .....think that's what happened

What I liked about the old fishcake was that you were able to post on all the other clubs sites under your username without having to register on every individual site.

Use to be great fun posting messages on other teams sites without having to register on them.

Yeah that's how I remember it too

The rivals network as mimma says meant when you logged on to the Fishcake you could access all the other teams forums too

I could be wrong but I think SKY had a hand in Rivals trying to extort more money from the subscribers....
