Statement below. Players not paid again!

"We as players and staff at MTFC regret to inform that last seasons issues regarding payment of wages to ourselves and staff have re-occured once again.

Saddened by the new of Bury and Bolton's staff and players we feel the need to release this statement before we find ourselves in a similar situation.

With not directly involving the EFL with last seasons non payment of wages, we are now pleading with the EFL to help Macclesfield Town as a football club to not end up in the same position as what Bury found themselves in.

As players and staff we remain committed and professional to honour our contracts under these extremely difficult circumstances for ourselves and our families."

Football League need to get to grip with this happening

Could someone explain why they are in financial trouble?

If the football is bad you can always watch the gulls.

or they just decided to spend more than they knowingly could afford........would seem somewhat unfair if following well reported issues over the last season or so regards players not getting paid on time or in full (?) that the EFL have allowed them to start the season again and for the process to soon be repeated......just another form of financial mismanagent that this way will dodge punishment by the EFL.
Whilst i dont think the EFL would have too many powers regards the internal running of plc's /private companies ,as such an issue becomes an employer/employee dispute,  they surely as custodians of the leagues and along with the FA of the game, then they need to look at some way of assuring member clubs either have bonds held by the EFL/FA to underwrite their anticipated expenditure or face quick and stinging punishment if they repeatedly/purposely don't pay players as per their contracts, in order to dissuade them from defaulting.
