What's the Icelandic at the bottom of your posts? Google translates it as a load of nonsense.

It’s the first recording mention of Grimsby, I think it’s in Old Norse.

It says;

We have waded in mire for five terrible weeks.

There was no lack of mud where we were, in the middle of Grimsby.

But now away we let our beaked moose [their ship] resound merrily on the waves over the seagull's swamp [sea] to Bergen.

Scunny finished 0-1

I hear they're sticking all their middle fingers up at Hurst

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

What a signing Hanson is turning out to be, he’s made a massive difference and we look a real threat with him in the team

Sorry to correct... but we are a threat with him in the team

Massive difference this season is that when we do go one behind I don't automatically think "that's us lost that then " and kick the dog!!, Instead I'm sat waiting for us to score, not worried in the least as I know we'll score... definitely gotta give it to Jolley, he knew we were light up front and put all his effort into sorting that out but don't think any of us really knew the impact Hanson would have...tonight I raise a glass to MJ, AL, all the town squad and especially the fans....

Cheers.

That'll be why it's come out as gibberish* then! The amazing thing is it can actually translate anything at all that old. Put Old English in from that same period and Google wouldn't have a clue. Icelandic obviously hasn't changed that much in 1200 years!
