Yeh ok the Imps have had a great season and will deservedly win the title. Cant take that away from you Imps fans. But to go on a rival fans forum and gloat is a little sad.
Enjoy the good times whilst they last. Football has a tendancy to bring you down to earth again and again.
I wonder how long the Cowleys will be happy at little Lincoln before they want to take on their next challenge? I suspect L1 will be your limit. History shows Lincoln's natural level is L2.
Give it a year or so results will drop off, the new found 'fans' will urine off gates will drop and the Cowleys will seek 'greener' pastures. Before you know it your'e back in L2 with the Mariners once again looking down on you and the natural order of things will be restored.

Sorry. missed a couple off 2018/19 Cheating twit of the Year: Danny Cowley 2018/19 EFL 'Team most resembling a rugby union XV': Lincoln City 2018/19 Most inappropriately named fans group: 617 Squadron
They've got very lucky - appointing the Essex Boys (IMO Gimps were heading for Conference North) and a literally once in a 100 years FA Cup run
But they've cashed in... and they'll soon be back in L2

A decent CA diary on the growing gaps between us: http://codalmighty.com/site/ca.php?article=7100
I wonder if Mr Fenty has read it.? Already some of my group are saying they will not renew their season tickets till Fenty goes. The first of many I bet. I think the time of reckoning is coming for Mr Fenty's tenure. He may think "so what" and carry on regardless, but there will be fewer people there being bothered anymore as he continues his mismanagement of the club.

I would agree with you on this, if we had not spent the money we have earned with the cup run, but also with massive gate receipts, say compared to Grimsby, wisely. However, we have spent 1.2 million on a fantastic training facility - Improved the squad hugely despite losing arguably our best 2 players last year - We now have players on good contracts that are worth good money - Andrade' for example, if he went I think he would be our record sale. I think we will be fine, I for one would be happy with mid -table division 1 for a couple of years - before hopefully pushing on, if Burton, Yeovil and Scunthorpe can flirt with the Championship, then so can we, when we build and stabilise further. I am not sure you will be looking down us for a while, unless, as I said you make Grimsby more attractive for players to come to, and pay the wages too.

I do think that Lincoln deserve a lot of credit for the past couple of seasons. They've built on their cup-run and promotion and have obviously kept the interest of their "new" fans.
It's a shame that we couldn't have done something similar when we first got back into the league.
However the "plastic" fans aimed at them does certainly ring true a bit when you think that only a few seasons ago they were getting gates of around 1800 at home for the visit of the top National League teams such as Forest Green.
Let them enjoy their success whilst they can, God knows it's been one heck of a long time since they were previously successful.

Off the field that`s a Club that has without doubt worked it`s balls off. Of course the success on the field has been the springboard but if you speak to decent Lincoln fan`s they will tell you off the field they were even more shambolic than Grimsby for donkey`s year`s.They are the model Clubs like us should be using as a yardstick there is no shame in admitting they have got it right and copying it. We had the opportunity and were 12 Months in front of them off the field now we are light years behind why is that?

Interesting piece and does illuminate the fact that small steps culminate in a far better fan experience. It misses out in the fact that the 2 C’s spend a lot of time personally in the schools and even train the Notts County girls U12’s !... they have embraced the City, it’s history and just get it....
Isn't one of their kids in that girls team though?
