Back in football again.......he must've had more clubs than Nick Faldo.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Anyone remember him being sacked when he was manager at Huddersfield and they lost to the Mariners at Blundell Park in what is now the Championship. Think he was sacked before the team left the ground.

How times have changed..

And would have possibly been considered for the job before the Ipswich debacle.

He did a great job when at Wigan and then later at Hull, where he worked under very strange circumstances. Getting them back into the Premier League was a far bigger achievement than many gave him credit for at the time.

He's got a good record of getting teams into the Premier League - and he's been at plenty of clubs in the north, so you can possibly see why it's a decent fit.

Edit - just read his Wiki page. He scored 113 goals in his career! In the 1990/1 season he got 19 in 50 appearances for Manu. That's a phenomenal record for a defender.

Read this morning that he might not be starting the job straight away, as he wants to go to watch the England Cricket test in the West Indies later this month

I hope he's used his time since leaving Villa to write another crime novel.

Has managed 4 sides to promotion from the Championship. He is no mug.

I am 100% Town, but a friend persuaded me to go to Old Trafford, to watch Man U play Birmingham and when Steve Bruce came onto the pitch as the Birmingham manager, he received an incredible reception. A much loved guy.

But playing for Man Utd at that time they played 134 Fergy time minutes every match so in reality he had more time to score them

That’s a bit unfair moosey. They only played 134 minutes if they weren’t winning 🙂
