We've all had them. The ones saying you're due a tax refund, the ones where a long lost relative has died in a plane crash in Africa and left all his millions to you etc but I got a new one today which looks quite genuine.

Claims to be from the TV Licencing people saying you missed your last payment and to click a link to set up a new standing order.

Beware, this is a scam and if you do what it says I'm sure you'll find your account emptied quite soon!

I get round this scam by keeping my account empty at all times.

The other scam thats quite common is the windows internet scam. People usually from India ringing you up claiming there is something wrong with your computer usually claiming there from Microsoft or BT. What they want is to gain access to your computer and then download viruses so they can steal your personal information and money.Added to insult they charge you £180 or more for the privilege
