This a great read - how Mike Newell became Luton Town manager in 2002.

The whole set up at Kenilworth Road was run by complete and utter fruit loops at that time. Queer club Luton, alienated just about every football fan in the country when they became the only League club to endorse Thatcher's anti hooliganism ID cards because their chairman was David Evans, a rabid Tory MP.

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.
