Am I right in thinking that after the FGR game MJ said something about that bringing our (the fans) expectations down.

Well, you've done that now Michael - feel free to ask your team to have some shots, score some goals and maybe win a few games. Anything above 23rd in the table now looks a reasonable expectation.
