I never understand this quote that always comes through. Amond had a 1 in 4 record in the league above us and came with positive reviews. More often than not, players with poor reviews and poor records turn out to be poor. We have a couple of examples where that isn’t the case, Nolan in particular but there are loads of examples of that being the case (most of the tripe we signed last season). This is totally unrelated to Todorov btw, no idea who he was before I saw that on Twitter and he’s still only 21.

Dont think we should write anyone off until we can see what a players qualities can be with this kind of coaching and conditioning. Aside from this it is the norm at all clubs that a raft of trialists come in pre-season, many of which are not taken on or dont make the grade. Would rather us take some time to get this striker signing right.

Scored a very well worked team goal in the Cup Winners Cup against East German outfit Dynamo Leitz. Had to be carried off in the second leg because of a hip dislocation due to a weakness caused by his handling by the DS (State Security) when he refused to sign for CSKA Sofia.
