Our first pre-season fixtures ahead of the 18/19 season have been announced.

Mariners' fans will have their first chance to see Michael Jolley's new squad ahead of the new season away at Cleethorpes Town on Saturday 7th July. The manager will take a Select XI to take on The Owls for a 3pm kick-off, with the club celebrating the opening of their new stadium.

Further fixtures currently scheduled include York City (A) and a home tie vs. Sky Bet League One side, Doncaster Rovers.

Cleethorpes Town (A) - Saturday 7th July - 3pm kick-off

York City (A) - Saturday 21st July - 3pm kick-off

Doncaster Rovers (H) - Tuesday 24th July - 7:30pm kick-off

Further details regarding ticket pricing and availability will be made available in due course.

================================
Cleethorpes game will be at The Linden Club. York on a Saturday could be a good day out.

Excellent. Don't need much excuse for a weekend on the urine in York seeing that my best mate lives there.

York away in July - absolutely perfect. Didn’t think I’d ever make it back to Bootham Crescent given their new out of town ground is now underway, so this is excellent.

No doubt a date when we play Grimsby Borough will be announced soon

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Nice map here by York Camra showing the 107, yes 107 city centre bars and pubs selling real ale, and there are dozens of other places for the fizzy lager lovers.

You're welcome.

I already have a copy of that map, with many of the pubs ticked off.

Sorry mate but you know the rules in friendlies. The big clubs never play at home against lower league opposition

Haway man, me and the boys need another excuse for a urine-up down that way.

Plus it'll give me a chance to catch up with BPVicar and the rest of em

Just come down for a game anyways. And the vicar's a top bloke. I can recall hearing a Barnet supporter at their gaff saying about him " ive never, ever seen a footy fan as drunk as that " ! Topped off when we left the ground and immediatly from the away end you pass their training pitch. There he was flaked out in the goal mouth in a massive puddle ( It was rain not his own pi$$ )
