To fill the boredom over the close season I will be running a World Cup Prediction League. I won't be taking entries for this but it will be open to anyone who want to participate.

What I intend to do is, when we get nearer the time, to post 5 seperate groups of fixtures for the group stages. 8 games between 14th and 16th June, 9 games between 17th and 19th of June, 9 games between 20th and 22nd of June, 10 games between 23rd and 25th of June and 12 games between 26th and 28th of June, A total of 48 games in the group stages.

I will then post the last 16, quarter-finals, semi-final and final seperately after that.

For the group stages, as per the usual prediction league you will score 3 points if you get a prediction spot on and 1 point for the correct result (ie home, away or draw) but not the correct score. Also there will be 3 bonus points available if you get the total of goals in each set of games spot on, 2 points for being 1 out and 1 point for being 2 out. In each group of games you will also be able to nap TWO games and any points scored in those games will be doubled.

If you will be entering then please register your interest on this thread so that I know that there will be enough people taking part for it to be worthwhile doing.
