Minimum expectation is not to be in a relegation dog fight. I'd be pretty happy with a 60 point season (preferably with a good cup run).

However it can change pretty quickly in football and I wouldn't be surprised if we ended in a promotion battle next season

Accys budget was bottom 3

They've had a period of stability in the running and management of the club though.

Im not expecting but demanding we have the capability to finish in the top 7 next season, this is a bare minimum for us.
Im still most annoyed at how people where celebrating staying up this year like we had been promoted! The players should be ashamed of the league position and yes blame Slade to a certain degree but the buck stops with the players. they are the ones out there.

Fenty - Dont scrimp, the fans dont, they deserve the very best even if you dont like them. Without the fans you would not get the publicity you crave.

i just really hope that we get a team that can score more!

we have only managed it 11 times out of 45 games. and failed to score in 20 of the 45 games

Compare that to promotion chasers Notts County, they managed to score more than once 20 times, and only failed to score in 9 of the 45 games.

We are the lowest scorers in the league on 39, bottom of the table Chesterfield managed 47!

I may well come crashing back to earth in august but right now I'm extremely confident we can at least challenge for the play offs. It's been said plenty of times already, but if Jolley can get the same group of players that surrendered so pathetically to Yeovill and Morecambe (among many others), and produce such a good performance against Notts Co then the sky's the limit once he gets to build his own squad.

It will be his first full season and there's a chance he will find it much tougher than we all hope. If that does happen then I will still back him completely. Anything better than a relegation dogfight is an improvement so that's the minimum for next season. But I've no doubt Jolley demands much more of himself and his team than that.

I hope (more than expect) to see vast improvements 'off the pitch' next season.  Ideally a clear out in the boardroom and stability in the Supporters Trust.  I would love for JF to move on, but somehow save face.  Failing that, maintain his recent stance of remaining very much in the background.  Wouldn't it be great if we could somehow attract a 'chairman' that could work with JF.  Inject a few quid into the kitty and soak up some of the pressure. I would very much like to hear one way or the other about the new stadium and would hope that by the beginning of next season we know the way ahead.  As for 'on the pitch', as much as MJ has impressed us by making the best of a bad job, lets see how he gets on at signing players etc.  That's not a dig at him at all, just a plea to not expect too much from the guy in his first full managerial season.
I'll take half way or above and even a mini cup run would be nice.
One thing is for sure.  At this moment in time, I envisage seeing a lot more games next season than I was thinking of two months ago !!    UTM

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Basically everything above what`s been posted already.I see no reason why we can`t obtain midtable with a chance of the Play Offs fairly easily? I really want to see progress between the Club and fans I repeat again like a broken record BP with some dialogue NOW could easily see home gates of more than 5500 every week starting August.C`mon Town go for it target 6k now and be innovative the support is there and in my opinion the key to upping the gates barring the obvious on field improvement is you attracting kids and shift workers.UTM

Given the quality of football I saw on Saturday, if we could replicate that every week I think we would be in the top half of the table even with the current squad.

I have no doubt Jolley will bring in several new players to improve the team, so I think we can be play off contenders. Let's face it, we were play off contenders under Slade until January.

It is imperative though that we get at least one good striker. There are no natural finishers in the current squad. I see Dennis scored again for Chesterfield last night, I know people have reservations about his general play, but a poacher like that would be very useful to us.

I think we need a creative midfield player too, and we need to bring in some fresh legs at the back.

I have full confidence in Jolley to bring in the right players. Really looking forward to next season  now.

Cannot see how anyone can have realistic expectations for next season until we know who has gone, resigned and been brought in.

Then we can start to see if we have any chance of challenging.
