I'll get us started with two of my own.

"I like the players to play with a smile on their face" - Michael Jolley, GTFC manager.

He's got a degree,
He's got a degree
Michael Jolley
He's got a degree.

I was there, the day Bradley Wood scored a 35 yarder!

From the black and white striped shirts
To the fish in the sea
You'll hear us singing
Coz we are Grimsby.

You won't hear us crying
But you'll hear us shout
Coz we are the Grimsby
And this is our chant.......... Grimsby! Grimsby! Grimsby!

It's got to be to the Dolly Parton song - Jolene replacing Jolene with Jolly

Jolly, Jolly, Jolly, Jolleeeee
Used to wear a gown, and now he's Town
Jolly, Jolly, Jolly, Jolleeeee
He's our manger and he's sound

Maybe leave the rest to someone who better with lyrics

In a nutshell!

Rise up this morning
Smiled with the rising sun
Mike Jolley was on our doorstep
Singing sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true
Saying this is my message to you

Don't worry about a thing
Cause every little thing gonna be alright
Singing' don't worry about a thing
Cause every little thing gonna be alright

Despite this thread being full of lyrical genius we could always go with

Michael Jolley's Black and White army

Walking down the Grimsby Road to see the Jolley's aces

There's only one Michael Jolley

We are Grimsby, super Grimsby Jolley is our king.E-i-e-i-e-i-o

Can we just bring back “Walking down the Grimsby Road, to see the Jolley’s aces..” ?

To my mind we kind of stopped singing that regularly when Scott and Hurst were appointed as they didn’t fit in with the tune.

Classic chant!

Love it and brings back memories of the good times.

I'd like a singing area at BP maybe in the Osmand corner for the Port Vale game, packed to the rafters with our utmost vocal fans who will create an atmosphere to welcome MJ. All flags, balloons, confettis, scarfs, fancy dress and anything else to make that area totally unique. Not to mention the band too. Just a thought guys but I'm game but will need social media and club backing to spread the word for a one off trial to Welcome our new gaffer. After all our new era is all about doing things different and breaking the mould.

Agree with that except I'd rather it be in the pontoon just for the fact it could be for the remaining games not just Poet Vale

Fair point I was just thinking that the acoustics would be better and have only dedicated fans wanting to be vocal rather than the openness of the Pontoon.

Just need the Trust to take this on board and spread the word once they get GTFC to agree.

Think we all to be part of this new area by breaking the mould with how we do things.

Let's hope this gets enough interest for the Trust to listen. I'm hopeless with social media but maybe posts on Facebook and twitter would help spread the word?

Just pack the pontoon and get behind the lads! No better sight for me sat in the upper than a rammed, boisterous pontoon.

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

Is that to be sung to the tune of that James Brown song?

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Deep down in Grimsby close to Immingham
Way back up in the woods among the evergreens
There stood a log cabin made of earth and wood
Where lived a country boy named Jolley B. Goode
Who never ever learned to read or write so well
But he could manage a team just like a-ringing a bell

Go go
Go Jolley go!
