The Wifes going to be manager and the dog is going in at center back to add some much needed pace and bite

He is telling his wife that she can walk the dog in Cleethorpes and she does not have to pick the poo up,

That just might sway it and Mr Brown signs tomorrow.

He's probably just come out of a meeting with Mr Fenty next door in Fantasy World.

They always seem to overdo the egg for my taste although I find bacon and cheese foolproof.

I'd rather have Brown than this Askew conference bloke, at least brown has managed at the highest level with loads of league knowledge.

No idea whether we're interested in Brown or not, though talk of an imminent appointment and the lack of any rumblings from Macclesfield makes me think it isn't Askey and is more likely to be someone currently out of work.

Either way, this thread on the Southend forum reads pretty well for a manager who's just been sacked (certainly better than the Slade ones on here, for sure):

http://www.shrimperzone.com/vb/showthread.php?95257-Phil-Brown-decent-guy

Lots of talk of making the club a more professional place and leaving it in a much better position than when he arrived. Also worth noting that he was the 10th longest serving manager in the country before his sacking (just shy of 5 years), which you don't achieve without some semblance of success.

Personally, in the context of the names seemingly in the running I think we could do a lot worse. Just as long as he doesn't try and sign Nile Ranger...

Yeah, i think so. He's a northern lad too, so the timing of his release may be something that works in our favour for a change. Right place, right time?

Guess who I bumped into in Specsavers.

Every fuckker. 😃

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'
